Who benefits pushing CWD so much, who benefits from killing so many non tested deer?

The short answer to that question is..... there are a few highly connected individuals that are either directly tied to TPWD or have influence with TPWD. These individuals hate deer breeding, and have weaponized CWD to help them crush the industry (quite successfully).

I would think that most of these folks buying deer from breeders are rich conservative guys that hand out a lot of campaign money. I would also think that these politicians would reign in TPWD.

Unless, these rich conservative with well established HF ranches see the smaller HF ranches as competition to their operation. Therefore, shut down the breeders and 200" bucks that are commonplace now will decline. Therefore they can charge more...just a guess. None of it makes sense to me.

Whatever it is, whoever it is.. you know money is involved somehow.

I don’t know the answer but I have an idea.

How many federal dollars are the state of Texas given for testing and spreading this propaganda?

I believe the new grant, if found eligible, is $37mm.

Thats to TPWD.

70 million to be distributed to all the states is what congress passed. I don’t see Texas getting 37 million of it. Do you have a source/link?

Here’s the bill that passed:

I have a good friend that is a breeder strictly for photography purposes…no kills or releases to kill. The TPWD is EXTREMELY hateful and vindictive towards breeders. They make no excuse for refusing to help them with problems concerning people and dog problems. They openly tell him that they don’t care…they’re his problems, not theirs. I respect most of thenTPWD and most of the wardens but they want all breeders and their herds exterminated with or without cause.

Practice doesn’t make perfect.
Practice makes permanent.

Someone else did the math, but I think it came down to how many states have detected CWD in the first place and then case count is supposed to be a factor.

I didnt do the math, but I consider the person who told me to be a reputable source.

It the upper echelons of TPWD.

I have no issues with the field staff (wardens and biologists) or the girls I deal with in the Austin office.

There is one person on my ****list in Austin, but its not Liz, Claudia or Meagan.
