The youngest GS called his mom from the rent house in Lubbock (Texas tech). He was all upset. The toilet was overflowing and he had no idea what to do. He’s 20 years old, and knows nothing useful. I do worry about that boy.
Where were you at 20 years old? I was married. Had a manual labor job at the local plywood plant. Going to college. Had to keep our old Ford together with spit and baling wire.

At 20? Emptying kegs at Ohio State.

I figured all 20-year-olds now used U-tube. I too was at CAFB when I was 20. Had my 1st kid at 22.

I was the Squad Leader of the Weapons Squad of the 3rd Platoon. 8 men with 2 M60s.
Every 20 year old needs to experience duty on a chit burning detail. Tell him to burn it using diesel fuel. Bottom half of a 55 gallon drum, about half filled with chit and pizz, pour a gallon of diesel on it and stir, then light the diesel keep stirring Repeat until only has ashes left.
Thankfully by then I was already a Buck Sergeant, no chit details. But I did "volunteer" a few troops to burn it.

At 20 we had just bought our first house and had already graduated community college with an associates degree and started my career as a lowly help desk tech which I’ve been in the last 19 years and have worked my way up to Director of IT with the same company.
Damn time flys.

20 years old I was a second class (E5) Cryptologic Technician in the US Navy. Married and was stationed aboard the USS LaSalle only white ship in the Navy. Was stationed in the middle east. We were out there intercepting and copying voice and morris code traffic from the bad guys. Oh yea we knew how to operate and fix a toilet also.

I was a journeyman electrician.
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Answered many a 9-1-1 call that Dispatch sent us to a "water leak". At 20 years old, I was testing for Fire Departments. Got hired at 21 years old.

Amazing the different lives we all lead. I was similar to MM in that I was at tech. Yall having kids at 20, I was in a different boat hoping I wouldn't get any of those calls. It took till my mid-30s to have a kid. You grow up a lot faster when someone else relies on you at an early age

At 20, I was delivering the Star Telegram to stores around Burleson and Crowley. Made good money and had 2 part-time employees. My parents owned a plumbing company when I was a kid, so yeah, I could have plumbed the house your grandson's clogged toilet was located in...if it was located in Fort Worth. How do you not know how to fix a clogged toilet, or one that is overflowing from the tank? I mean, heck, I'm sure there's a YouTube video he could have watched.

Starting my 3rd freshman year in Lubbock stopping up toilets. I seriously stopped one up on campus that started overflowing and I ran out of that bathroom. Guy in the stall next to me wasn't happy.

If mommy & daddy do everything for you, you can't fix anything.

Summer vacation at C Company, 2nd battalion, 58th Infantry, Fort Benning, Georgia... the land that God forgot... and I knew how to fix a toilet, too.

Working at a full service gas station and delivered bulk fuel and oil through out the county. And yes on unstopping a toilet. 30 years at US steel and now doing maintenance for the school district. Unstopping toilets is a weekly thing now. Some times daily. Have learned that vapes and water bottles and markers don't flush well.

Driving back and forth across the US delivering equipment and sneaking the bosses daughter into the cab for those quick trips. Got hired by my PD just before my 21st. Ditched the bosses daughter, told him thanks for the fun, but I gotta run
