Just wanted to give an update, decided on Tisas Duty SS45R, plan is to then try it out. Don’t want to spend an arm and a leg to find out a 1911 ain’t for me, if it does work out will get a Ronin then. May trade or sell the Tisas then. Thanks for all the info. Just one more question, anyone ever deal with KYGUNCO heard mixed things about them

Just hold on to the Tisas even if you get the Ronin the 1911 can be addicting

Now that you have a 1911 in .45 ACP, you might consider getting one in .22LR for high volume shooting. The Walther Colt 1911 Rail Gun in .22LR is excellent, and is also great for introducing new shooters.

This may be a silly question but why don't people save up anymore for a good Colt 1911? My Gold Cup with Ellison sights still has a home in the factory brown card board box with Styrofoam insert and can't remember what I paid for it. Have the classic 1911's got that expensive or folks just going bargain priced or Gucci builds nowadays? I used to have a urge for a Ruger 1911 or the Remington but didn't ever jump out and do it.

Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock!

Colt's are not what they used to be. Other manufacturers have surpassed their reliability and quality and in some cases, for a cheaper price.

Thats what I'm saying not the new generations not the stamped out models. The new Python isn't the original just hanging on to the name idea. A person will have to save up granted but you get something not every person can grab off the shelf. Not saying you can't get a 10/22 and it run for ages just some guns are more desirable than others to certain groups.
