A very good friend was using his Facebook account and saw a link for ammo and firearms. He clicked on it and it opened up to Freedom & Arms website. He inquired about the availability of .257 Roberts ammo. He was told they have plenty of it so he ordered three boxes and paid with a venmo account. To make a long story short, the money was taken, but no ammo has been shipped. Scam alert folks!

Venmo should have sent off some alarms.

Wow, just checked ammoseek and the legitimate sellers there are selling it for .416 Rigby prices.

Definitely, when I see online sellers that only accept Venmo or PayPal, I immediately assume it is a scam. I will also Google the name of the company/website and ask Google if it is legitimate or a scam.

Same thing happened with me last week with a search for IMR 4320. The website had “plenty in stock”……..? That was the first red flag. They only accepted Venmo or PayPal, no credit cards. Second red flag. Got a text message asking if I had made payment yet. Third red flag.

I found a pretty decent website, supposedly a place in Nebraska. Guy had several skid steers for sale at prices about 70-80% of what they should have been. Google street pics of the 'business' matched somewhat but not close enough to keep me from smelling a rat. Fast forward about a week and the website was gone.

I don't know if it's Russians, Chinese, or our own, but the Feds need to make this stuff a much bigger priority than they are currently. I'm really tired of scammers.

I think it is a priority with the Fed's but they can't keep up and/or move fast enough. They are just now getting around to prosecuting Covid scams, 2-3 years later.

A lot of the feds are scammers themselves.

The feds are busy locking up republicans. They don't have enough time to investigate an actual crime.
