Fueling your body is an individual scenario. What works for one may OR may not work for another. We are all different with different physiology going on and varied genetic factors. Find what works for you and do it. I am in my mid 50's and eat a meal every 2-3 hours but never after 7 p.m. My weight has not changed more than 3# in 15 years. Longest I go without fueling my body in some way is 10-12 hours. Intermittent fasting? Who drew the line on the sundial dictating at what hour it becomes fasting much less intermittent?
Remember - Movement is medicine. How tall are your and your weight? I am 6' 2" and 235lbs, if I ate every two hours I would be like 300 lbs Hgt/Wgt matter less than what you eat and how much. I am 5'8" 170#. Every meal has protein, carb, and fats and get smaller as the day goes on. I haven't found that to be the case for me.

Been doing one meal a day since August 1. I eat a huge meal at dinner. Fast for 24 hours between my one meal. Started lifting weights again in the mornings. I do drink an all natural protein powder after working out. Down from 228 to 208. I am lifting just as much weight at 42 as I was at 22. Leaner and more muscle. Feel so much better. Sleep better, you name it.
