Dando, the difference is we’re not here selling ourselves regardless of facts. We’re here doing what we enjoy and talking about it and our results. Regardless of if we agree or not. I’m sure even the most arrogant of our legends in their own minds learns on a regular basis, be it from their own experience or others, just not from a YouTube hero when obviously their statements are not based in facts.

I do admire anyone capable of making money, but that doesn’t mean their work is admirable.

Not centered but still 5 shots MOA, rifle is a bit heavy to hunt with but it could be done. It will do almost as good with the Federal GMM 168 load.

I was testing the tracking of an old Bausch and Lomb scope mounted on my 270 Encore.

This is an example of a piss poor factory load, the 100 gr. Wolf steel cased 6.5 Grendel , the center group was a reload featuring the 90 gr. TNT from the same rifle.

The 1 MOA standard I look and strive for in a hunting rifle is the ability to hit a 1 MOA target with the cold bore shot.

One of my favorite practice drills is shooting a piece of paper with 1" circles at 100 yards, one shot per circle. The goal is to hit all twenty dots.

Here is a link to print out the target:

For the circles, shoot one, stand up, walk around, come back and go to the next circle.

It really forces one to focus.

Looks sort of like a benchrest score match target. Other than there are more rings.

Black Death Challenge at 50 yards have humbled a LOT of very expensive rifles and shooters at the 22 matches.

We did 5-shot versions at one of the Hunter Challenge shoots. Quite a few shooters went 5/5.

1 shot to boresight, 1 sighter at 100, then the 1st 5 shot group with my Sako S20 6.5 PRC, 6-24x Arken EP4, Norma Factory 143gr match ammo. The factory Bondstrike shoots exactly the same. That square isn't quite 3/4" tall.

I recall this when you got it. Sako barrel like Tikka, forged?

Tikka is a Sako barrel.

I have a .bone stock 223 Savage model 16 I hunt with that will do MOA consistently with my 65 grain gameking hand loads. Still has the janky plastic stock and accutrigger, with a 3-10x Swarovski. It is my preferred doe gun.
10 shot string at 100 yards, allowing enough time for one reload. Rifle has a two hundred yard zero. Squares are 1”. It opens up a little after the first three, but not much.

One of the best loads I ever developed was with a Savage .223 Rem. Model 12 Varmint, 24".

It likes full throttle. 69 gr SMK at published maximum H-Varget. 3200 fps MV, and it ran to 800 yards, no problem.

Savages cycle like crap, and shoot good.

This gameking load is very similar to your match king load. When I worked it up there was no published data on the 65 grain gameking yet. I worked it up using 69 grain SMK data. Compressed load with 26.1 grains of Varget.

There is another way of making money in the gun industry.

It is the old fashion way. Providing goods and services, that the customer directly pays for.

I think we've lost the point of the video a bit. It's not that we can't get factory rifles to shoot well, it's that the MOA guarantees by manufacturers are misleading to the average shooter.

Most of the fault lies in the ammunition.

And the second problem is asking a hunting barrel to shoot 5 consecutive shots. They are too thin to do that.
