Where the best place to hunt gemsbok without paying a fortune and entering the guided draw? I would like to do it on public land but I wouldn’t mind on private.

I am not aware of any public land in Texas that is non-draw permit and that has a regular herd of gemsbock. Several Texas private ranches have them for $4500 to $7000. New Mexico is a $1600 draw tag for a Non Resident for both On Range(White Sands Missile Range) and Off Range hunts, with a low percentage draw rate for non-res no outfitter.
