I am eating lunch today and notice a female pull up in the handicap spot with a placard on the rear view. She comes in restaurant, appears to be a door dash delivery person, with zero physical challenges. Almost runs in to get order, which is not ready. Very frustrated the order is not ready, then gets on her cell phone, speaker only and starts a long conversation with her mom about how worthless and lazy her son is.

Maybe a mental handicap cap? What gets me, if you have the ability to run into a store why would you prevent someone else who is challenged physically to have that parking? She was maybe 25-30 years old.

I am getting old.

The penalty for illegally parking in the handicap spot should be: hold you down while a big bold handicapped symbol is tattooed smack dab on the your forehead, so everyone knows the kind of person they are looking at.

Yup, I see more folks use it that do not need it, than those that do. What is really irritating is the teenager in grandmas car that has a placard, parking in a spot that my parents, in their 80s, could use.

Sounds like she's gaming the system. I blame the docs, they're supposed to be policing that. But then who is actually checking placards these days? It's easy to gen up a fake one.

I nearly got pissed off one day at a perfectly normal person doing the same thing. But then I noticed she actually had her disabled parent with her and ran into Walmart to get a prescription. Thinking about what that person goes through on a daily basis supporting that parent, and all those headaches, made me thankful I could walk from as far out as necessary.

I'm honestly more mad at the morons that will sit and block the aisle waiting for a person to load and clear a space so they can be 50' closer. If I can get by them, it never fails that I'm in the store by the time they've even parked.

I know I'm not the only one here that is badly broken up and still parks in the north 40. For those that take advantage of it because of plain laziness needs a good azz wooping. Proud to be a proud redneck.

If you can walk, there's way less stress way out there.

I spent a lot of time in northern AL for work. Every time I went to a store there were people parked in the fire lane in front of the store. They were not picking anyone up or loading there vehicle but actually parked there.

They will follow ambulances on the right shoulder of the interstate over there. They're differn't.
