I found a stock that someone had butchered and my 16" 6.5 saum would fit in it on the cheap. I can get rid of the butchering with a good bedding job and either a hydro dip or paint it...I'm doing both barreled action and stock. I've narrowed it down to Kuiu Valo or Verde. Which one do y'all think I should do?

Of the Kuiu patterns listed I'd undoubtedly choose Verde. Please don't though. I'll even give back your AR vice block if it'll help!

Where do you hunt the most? Pick the color that matches best. For me it would be Valo since I hunt the transition zone between the Hill Country and West Texas.

Seriously....where I hunt most is valo but likely I won't keep this rifle long. I've already killed last years buck with it and things don't seem to stick around long after I've killed something with it...so interested in what the majority prefers.

I think OCP (Scorpion) is the best all around pattern but that’s not an option in the poll.

Verde for sure if those are the only two options, that pattern looks good when the barrel and stock are done together.

Agree, dip it in the old-style Game Guard. Alamo Precision can't dip them fast enough in this pattern.

Well since y’all were so much help I ended up going Mossy Oak brush. I had hoped there would’ve been more green in the hydro dip but as luck would have it there was zero. First time I used Liquid Concepts in Arkansas and they did a great job with the dip. Got it back and took it to JG for cerokote, turned out adding the perfect finishing touch. This will be the third deer season I get to hunt with this hammer but it doesn’t look like a rifle builder’s rifle any longer, we never have time to work on our own stuff. Now, someone will want it more than I do and I’ll have to build me another one

This is no schizz. I chambered and bedded my last customer build of the year today, a 30-378 Bee, ended up the year with a boomer, all others are deferred until January. I’m ready for some time off and therapy at the camp, Titos and Shiner time!

I have color swatches for around 350 colors. I sent Judd no less than 20 pics of the different brown and tan swatches laying on top of his stock. Those are the two he picked.
