Has anyone else tried these? They have #350 and #600 versions. I picked up a 350lb to try out. Seems like a good feeder for the price. Has 12V motor, the timer seems identical to "the timer" but different labeling, and a eliminator spinner plate with varmint cage. Has holes for staking down and solar panel. We'll see how it holds up.

We need to vote for someone that can make deer feeders and beef jerky cheaper.

Why would you need a varmint cage with an eliminator plate?

Why would you need a varmint cage with an eliminator plate? I run both on my feeders SW from Ozona as those coons can tear up a cannon ball. I ran cages only until they started tearing those off, went to eliminator plates only until they figured out how to get 2-3 coons hanging on those to get the plate to drop like when spinning, using both seems to have solved my problems ... for now anyway.

$400 As far as a cage, I'd rather have it than not. Keep hogs from jacking up spinner plate..it's not really a cage . More like burglar bars lol..4 thick wires that surround it

Thanks for the post, I just might give one a try. 'Seems feeders are still a "niche" market. Guys start a company, produce balls-to-the-wall the first couple of years, then die off, no matter the design, 'cept ASF and a couple of the other big boys.

Probably shouldn't have put together with a half hour before sunset. I was in a hurry and may have missed something. But I thinking that may have been for the wire running from timer to motor. Or is that wire supposed to run down the barrel? Very happy with it so far though. The cattle and coons haven't been able to sabotage it.

Why are there not any of the Hanging Feeders in stock at any of the stores in the Conroe, Huntsville area? I really like to look at things before I buy them.

That small extra wire is a jumper wire to help with troubleshooting. You can keep it inside the battery box.

Bradley Gleaton, I have a question. When you do the test, it always shows and does 11 seconds? Is that correct? I was trying to test what I had on the feed timer, but it will only do the 11 seconds.

Best, GWB I did purchase one of the cottonseed feeders. Here are some thoughts. Is it industrial quality, no. However I'm putting it a pen that has so far been both cow and hog proof, so it does not need to be bomb-proof, plus IMHO the price was right. I was very impressed with the packaging. The fact that the panels were individually wrapped and/or had material spacers between each part was First class. No scratches or dents. Directions for assembly were good. Anyone with a bit of mechanical aptitude, common sense, and the ability to read English should fine. I was impressed with the quality of construction which aided in the ease of assembly as the tolerances were such that all the drilled/puched holes lined up perfectly. I could be wrong, but the fasteners & nylok nuts appeared to be stainless or a quality zinc plating. I did not care for the fiber washers, metal flat washers would be an improvement, and that is something that can be done cheaply. I did like the packaging of the fasteners. All were labeled and sealed per type with clear identification and were detailed w/drawing in the instructions. I also liked the fact that each cap screw had two washers and a lock nut assembled. I like it well enough that I may buy a couple more in the near future. ya! GWB PS: Tuesday I purchased one of the 350 lb. stand and fill feeders. It was already assembled. Got it set up Tuesday afternoon. Will let ya' know what I think after I test it a while.

You can edit the run time by clicking on the "Set Clock" button and then hit "Run Time" to adjust the test time duration. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Have anyone had any issues with water getting in them? We conduct a number of rain tests to ensure that water cannot get inside. Please give me a shout if you have any questions or any concerns. Have a great day!
