UT should be the prohibitive favorite but I'd not count out TCU, ISU or especially Kansas State. Jaylon Daniels at KU is also a very talented QB and they would have won more had he not gotten injured against TCU.

Maybe the phrase “Texas is back” should only be used after getting some sort of title. Anything really. Even Big12 champ could work.

It’s really go time for Texas. They haven’t really won a Big 12 title in 15 years. In a pretty poor Big12. OU looks to be down this year. OSU got killed in the portal. TCU had some success in portal.
It’s probably Texas year to win Big12.
The only concern I have is their coaches commitment. Sarks wife acts like a celebrity. You got Pole Assassin running around. Sark is one drink away from chaos. Gary Patterson left. No way I’d bet on UT to win Big 12. You summed it up why at bottom. Mean while TCU picked up Kendal at OC this year, which fixed their biggest weakness.

I'll be honest I think they are too young to go deep, but they are playing good ball right now. My hope is they don't look down and realize they are playing over their heads.

Ewers is the main key for UT, Guy needs to play focused football for 4 quarters, not 2, 2.5 or 3 but 4 focused, solid quarters. If the D shows up and pressures the opposition, they'll have a very good season, otherwise another 7-5, 8-4 is in order.
