I would not expect much difference unless you are running higher pressures in one over the other. Think the AI will have a little more case capacity so in theory at the same pressures a little more velocity.

Saw is typically advertised as faster. At least that was when they recommended running Lapua 308 Palma brass which is sp and will handle some serious abuse. That being said the saw is less capacity than the 08AI, that is speaking strictly to h20 capacity. Depending upon bullet choice and reamer freebore specs that could very in the usable capacity department.

I assume this is using your pet One sixty something gr 7mm bullet? That's impressive.

I failed to label in this post.

Playing with 150 gr Berger Elite Hunters.

This rifle kills more coyotes on my land, than any other killing. My 162 gr load is not going anywhere. It's what I will roll with on whitetail, pronghorn, ect.

I can say this. The 150 gr definitely wind drifts more than the 162's with a 110 fps lower MV.

That rifle is a heck of a shooter. Who was the barrel maker?

I've been thinking the same thing lately. A CTR in .308 or 7mm-08 (possibly ackley) cut down and suppressed. Maybe a 7mm-08ai cut to 17" with a shark suppressor... nidea I bet that'd make an awesome combo.
