Yea that looks great. Mine is taking a lot longer to come in this year. I've weed and seeded twice already and still half my yard is dead with dallis grass bang

Screw 419. You're a lawn baller now. Time for you to get Tahoma 31 or Ironcutter.

Nice! How often are you back lapping? I've heard Zeon can be rough on blades. I got a back lap buddy this year. I like the job it does on the bed knife after lapping.

Been doing it once a year, I have not done it this year, it is time, probably will get to it this weekend, gonna be cooler outside.

What's a "Back lap buddy"?

After you backlap run this across the bed knife. Do it with your chain off and the reel will move as you slide it along. Puts a nice sharp edge on the bed knife.

It sucks having to wait till noon to mow my lawn due to the heavy dew we have been having. On another note, I did receive some free nitrogen last week during a rainstorm with lots of lightning. I was awake around 2 a.m. when a huge lightning strike hit as close as I have ever been to one. Even went outside to see if I could see anything on fire. Yesterday I found where it came out of the ground. It was about 120' from my house at the edge of my driveway. Luckily all our electrical stuff was fine, but my neighbor's internet company was out 2 days after the strike fixing something.

You need a "dew whip"... or a hose...

this might have been discussed earlier in the thread, but not finding it.

we are literally overrun and overwhelmed with mosquitoes this year, way worse than any years I can recall. Is there anything that works well on treating a large open area (yard) or an attractant / pesticide to draw them away from the immediate backyard?

Should be able to find some hose end bifenthrin pretty easily. Hose everything down including shrubs and flower beds. I spray my bushes and beds with Demand CS and Tekko and spraying my lawn tonight with Bifern and it does a good job for me. I haven't noticed any mosquitoes yet

Saw that my local lowes had stonewall crabgrass control on sale, basically 50% off, at $21.xx. Not sure if all stores are the same or just by location, but thought I would pass it along.

Finally put down my 3rd application of fertilizer (AS / .6 lbs. N per K)) 3 days ago and got rained on 2 times since (about 1.4"). This picture was last Friday and 28 days after last AS application. Sprayed 2nd application of FeATURE @1.5 oz. per K today. I finally saw some Spurge in my lawn for the first time, but only one plant. I`ve had quite a bit around my shop and other places other than my lawn for a while. Let it get out of hand last year Till Derek turned me on to MSM Turf. Not happening this year.

Sprayed weed killer yesterday with no rain in the forecast. Supposed to sit 24 hours before being watered. It made it 6 hours bang

What did you spray that had to wait that long? I’ll bet your ok if you used a surfactant. Time will tell.

I feel your pain. My 2.5 year old Honda HRX 217 height adjustment broke last Friday while I was mowing. Order 2 new ones for 28 bucks with tax and shipping. I was able to take wire and tie to the opposite wheel and still mow yesterday till I got my parts in today. Took about 20 minutes to replace both after searching for an elusive 12mm open end wrench that was right in front of me. I hate the metric system. bang

Fleas out of control here. I mixed a 30 gallon tank of Bifenthrin & Tekko Pro IGR Sunday evening, then found out the pump on my POS Tractor Supply sprayer would not work. It been used less than 20 hours.

... and yes, it gets flushed with clean water after every use. I figured the pump had locked up, but turns out the seal failed and the "enclosed" motor got full of liquid and was badly corroded.

I'm sure the Bifenthrin will still be effective, but I'm wondering if the IGR will still be effective after sitting mixed for 3 - 4 day it takes to get a new pump?

We all need to practice Whoa more.
