Surprising good. I normally hate all margaritas on the rocks, unless I make them.

Nice.

Be careful in that water. It’s dangerous.

That’s funny, I dropped my wife and the girls off at the airport this morning to head to Cabo.
I hit the lake after and put a 2 man limit of crappie in the cooler with my dad.
Guess I’ll be fishing the next three days while they’re gone, bummer, lol.

Looks like they are about 200 yards down the beach from where you are staying.
Have fun

I honestly would rather be catching crappie this weekend, but taking my wife and daughter they wanted me to go, and the surf lesson tomorrow has got me interested.

Heck yeah, Esperanza is an amazing place. My wife and I got to go there for a presidents club trip about 15 years ago. One of the nicest places we’ve ever been. Have fun but keep your eyes open when you head downtown to Cabo Wabo or the Giggling Marlin. Hope you enjoy your surfing lesson up

We love Cabo, been going every other year for a very long time. Last trip my wife went shopping and left me at a street bar, met this gal. She was perfect, didn't talk too much, just sat there looking pretty good: [Linked Image]
I hope you're headed to Ceritos Beach for surfing, it's the best beach around. We always rent a car for two days. Todo Santos/Hotel California and Ceritos one day, Sea of Cortez the next. Take your own gear up the Sea of Cortez side, go North about 2 hours and turn right, you'll hit the beach. Nobody there, great water, snorkel all day, drive back to Cabo and eat dinner in town at La Golondrina. You gotta have lunch at Gardenia's twice, great street tacos. Mariscos Maztlan for dinner also. We been eating at these places & others for years with no issues.

That looks like a lot of fun. Fishing can be good with the right guide. Food looked amazing and delicious.

SW, sounds like you got it figured out. I had a great experience today with my surf lesson/guided tour. I’ll post up later.

Do that. Every time we're at Ceritos for the day after lunch at Hotel California I want to rent a board and take a lesson. Let us know how the surfing lesson went.

Not a lot of places like Cabo, desert like on one side of the highway and beachy on the other. Great golfing but at a price, $300+ at most courses there, Cabo Real, Cabo Del Sol, El Dorado, etc.. Beautiful ocean views but the Pacific waters are cold, lower 70s for water temps. Great fishing and nice ATV excursions back in the dunes, like 30-50' dunes. Back 20+ years ago we rented a 40' yacht at the marina with another young couple for 6 hours, 8-2pm, all the soft drinks, sandwiches, bait and 2 deck hands and captain for like $600 at the time, split. Wife caught a nice 20lb Yellow Fin tuna we had cooked up that night at the Westin where we were staying. It was extremely tasty. Some really neat little restaurants and of course Sammy Hagar's bar, Cabo Wabo. If lucky, Sammy may drop in and sing some songs I was told.

The old man still got it, been 30 years since I been on a surf board..

[Linked Image]

These are my instructors, it was just me and these 2 guys. Unbelievable, they picked me up at my hotel, drove me 50 minutes to the surf spot. They set up 2 umbrellas, a table, they packed drinks, food. Martin on the left is the owner (Cabo Surf Tours), they guy on the right is his hired hand (Carlos), he has about 8. Martin gives dry dock lessons, Carlos would go out with me, and Martin sits under the umbrella and takes picture, he pro photographer as well.

Here they are setting up…

Me and Carlos heading out…wait and time it between sets of waives. We would surf over the reefs, but swim out were it is sandy bottom, that is where the rip is and current helps gets you out there.
