Doesn't contradict anything... You are supposed to have Id on you pretty much anytime out in public. You are still required to carry your DL along with LTC if you have one.
Never heard that in my life you are suppose to have ID on you out in public, Where did you get this from? I can promise you in America this isn't a law or a requirment Please let me see the Texas law or Federal law that says one is suppose to have ID in public If you are carrying or driving. Sorry should have elaborated.. Gotcha, No worries I understand and now it makes sense

If you don't want to carry a handgun, something like a cattle prod would work. Back it up with some bear spray and you'd be good to go. Handgun would be best since it compact, I want my hands free to answer calls or to download new song or skip songs

If listening to music using ear buds that's how a 2 legged varmint will get you.
I have the Ultimate Ears Roll 2, It's a bluetooth speaker I just attach to my body belt. I carry a hammerless SW titanium in a belt bag and it's very light, I also have my cellphone so I can listen to music.
I just don't want to be opening my wallet and transfering a DL or LTC each morning, I am usually out the door around 5:30 am, I am prone to loose stuff........
Well...just drop that ID into your fanny pack. You probably won't lose your firearm so I doubt you will lose your ID. Good luck! FIFY  
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Carrying an ID while out and about is just good practice...what if you have a medical emergency and your phone is locked? I always carry 2 cellphones on me. One is a flip phone and you can't lock it, the other is my andriod for playing music and using the apps. If I had a medical emergency I would call 911 and as far as I know 911 can't be locked so the call would go thru. Get me to the hospital via amblulance, not much my wife could do if it was a true medical emergency......

I have walked daily for many years and am only now considering carrying. I have seen some bicep holsters that look kind of comfortable, but haven't ordered anything yet. If anyone uses one of these let us hear what you think.
I used to drive into town to walk on the track. Now it's mostly my county road and I don't want any noise like music. I want to be able to hear kids coming down the road at 50 MPH. Also, there is a particular dog I've been warned about. I'm not hauling a bat or golf club on my walk.

I'm not talking about driving, but just walking around minding my business, there is no requirement to have an ID. Personally, I would show mine, but it's not required.
