Hello, I was a long time on TFF back in late nineties and 2000's. I'm a 3rd gen.Texan. Been hunting about 60 plus yrs since I could walk with my Dad in north Texas. Later in the Coleman/Cross Plains/Chillicothe areas. Hunting passion is dove but deer and hogs also on private and public land. Retired now for 4yrs from logistics work(some might say sometimes in the gray area )LOL. Last few years I traveled the state from the Red to Rio rivers and west Tx hunting, not so much east but its on my list, seeing parts l've never seen. Mainly solo, dont mind company ( friends still working) but I like to stay on the move( harder to hit)Lol. One year I hunted dove the whole season solo from the Red river to Rio Grand on 4 or 5 different WMA's. Ended the season solo on a WMA ( with no other hunters on the WMA) near Santa Maria with nice sunflowers, my back up against the border wall talking to cartel folks on the other side. For me now its all about adventures and making life stories, brother I have novels full of fun. Apologies for the long post. Took for ever. See you in the wild wide open.
I didnt get this old or come this far by backing up, ok I'll give an inch when needed but no more. I like rule number 308.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Nobody's gonna ask the pertinent questions? Beans or no beans in chili? Stick burner or pellet smoker? What's your thoughts on the 6.5 creedmoor?

Thanks everyone. Hey uncle. No beans, takes up space in the pot of the real meal. I use both stick and pellet smokers depending on how long or fast I want something on a plate. 6.5 Creedmoor ? I shoot a Ruger 308 bolt action with a Vortex 56x25 ( 200 to 300 yards is my max ) Im old so I need all the help to see, both are great rounds. The 308 maybe alittle better knock down, 6.5 maybe alittle better at longer distances. I'm a fan of any ammo round that's placed in the right spot, take something in the blink of an eye from a standing position to lying flat on the ground.

Definitely won't fit in here.
