With GIR and FIR like that you should be putting a 26-30 and your score would REALLY be good. As far as handicap goes, it's so easy to keep up with now days with phone apps instead of doing all the calculations or turning in cards as a member at a course.

Played twice this past weekend and did horrible. I did have a couple of nice drives and about four decent, long distance putts. I was trying to focus on short game (100 yards and in). Course was very wet and muddy and just aggravated matters.

Congrats have two, the first one in 1996 took care of both, the hole n one and double eagle, 258 yard par 4 with a 3 wood, hit pin on fly and followed flagstick down into hole and 180 yard downhill 7 iron in 2000. Nothing since but several close calls inside of foot or less. Have seen 2-3 since, always fun times....

Came incredibly close at the Plantation Golf Course, If memory serves me correctly it was a par 3 around 165 yards water on 2 sides.
Ball landed about 10 feet in front of the hole and it appeared to gently roll right in, everybody was hooting and hollering.

Apparently it caught the edge of the cup and rolled around the cups rim and stopped right behind the flag stick on the very edge of the cup, you could have blown it in the hole.
Had a couple of other very close calls but nothing like that one.

I have witnessed two aces. One was on the first par thee at Lake Murray and the other was the first par three at WinStar Redbud.

2' is as close as I have been.

I've faced three eagle putts (two in the last month) and made one (the first one, par five 525 yards, driver - 4H - putt).

Putted 31 times yesterday.

Anyone going to the DFW golf show in Arlington this weekend? Tickets are only 15 clams.

I went once several years ago. Never again...too many "sales" people trying to sell golf trips that are too good to be true. Hard pass.

Played 9 holes yesterday…shot a 41, wind was not cooperative.

Gonna be doing my best GasGuzzler impression this week. I'll be playing a 9 hole scrabble Wednesday with the wife, 4 man scrabble Thursday with the wife, The old Posse is getting together Friday for a round, then I'll be playing a round Saturday with the wife. I hope the old back holds up!

I had to officiate a fastpitch game last night after work but I think this is the week I start playing in the evening...at least at Thursday night scrambles.

Yeah man,, The Quarry. The wife found someone..... all good.

We somehow managed to come in third in the 9 hole scrabble last night.

Thursday night scramble didn't make so I played the back to finish the front half round I played Tuesday.

Back here is par 34 (37 on the front) and I shot +7 with 11 putts for a back total of 41. Tuesdays was a +9 46.

Back in the 80's again. Been a while (a few weeks).

Rained so much here since midnight I doubt anything will be playable this weekend.

Headed to Lake Murray for an afternoon round Sunday. Didn't play Saturday due to officiating SIX t-ball games IN A ROW...
