I once had 7 or 8 hives and inoculated against the mites. Then I married a woman who turned out HIGHLY allergic to bee stings. That got serious so the bees went.

Saw lots of bee hive boxes while hunting in Montana last couple years. Was told they were rented from California beekeepers. The owners pick them up before winter sets in. Wheat was the primary crop.
