What is gthe best home made hog bait ya'll have made and used?
I have heard of hunters using old motor old on a bulap bag tied to a post.
I have heard of guys taking corn and turning it into sour mash.
I have also known hunters that simply use strawberry or rasberry jello.
What do you use what works??????????

I sour deer corn with big red soda...Have a buddy that gets molded bread and donuts from the local bakeries, and they eat it all up....

the nastiest, most foul smelling sour corn I ever made was with gatorade. I'd just dump left over, warm gatorade into it when I got home from work for a couple weeks, it smelled awful but the pigs liked it.

Knew a guy who used corn, diesel, and apparently some various other nasty bits that smelled baaaad but apparently very good to hogs, since they killed about 8 hogs off that stuff.
Friend who has them all over his property uses standard deer corn with koolaid powder scattered over it, and it brings them in.

Will anything else eat soured corn? I know for a fact that coons and possums will, probably most varmints, and I have seen deer eat some of the fruitier batches of soured corn that I've made, but they (deer) dont seem to mess with the real nasty stuff.

Indian corn, butter milk, strawberry cool-aid, beer, old bread, milo, and peanut butter. Add all of this in 5 gallon buckets, mix well can cover with a lid. Put it in the barn for about 2 weeks then pour it on the ground. DO NOT be tempted to try to eat this as it will have a side effect on your body. Grab your ammo and get ready! We use this with great results. We feed Indian corn as the deer really seem to like it and stay at the feeder longer.

A mixture of corn, wheat seed and water souring in the sun for a few days works well. Also, I took a tow sack and filled it full of pears and shot it with a shotgun a few times, hung it from a t post and when the stuff started oozing out the hogs went for it.

I just use plain corn and do really well. I have thrown some Oreos in the trap and that has worked as well. But can't say it made a difference. i think if they find it, they'll eat it.
