I was a teenager working at a dealer in the era when Suburbans eclipsed $30K and 1500's passed $20K. I could not fathom how someone would pay over $30K for a Suburban. Saw a new short wheel base 2022 Yukon Denali go for $105K a few weeks ago. New owner was happy. They traded a special edition CT5V super-charged in that sold for more than its original MSRP new. My home has "increased value" only 246% since 2005. Nope. The money is worth-LESS.

The color is hideous and I hate F**ds but only because of how I was raised and because I know how to make a good living fixing the effed up GM designs.

Not really it's not safe and could possibly void the warranty on the F150. It's not about towing, more about payload.

Don't get me wrong this truck is fast besides the point, I am not a speed racing guy but holy smokes! Faster than a Raptor.

Which one is faster than the Raptor? I don’t think the platinum has the same engine as the Raptor and the super is too heavy stock to beat a Raptor.

The Powerboost F150 I am currently driving. Keep in mind, Raptor has 35" tires, lift etc. There is a video on it on YouTube from 0-60. Powerboost wins, but not by much.

Yes it can. It's a Powerboost. Again it is payload for the reason for the change. Honestly properly equipped Powerboost can tow up to 14,000 lbs.

Try stopping 12,000 pounds with 1/2 ton brakes coming down a 7% grade

You mean those drum brakes on your trailer? How about that half ton transmission how do you keep it from over heating pulling up a long grade

You are correct, and Ford motor company is wrong.

These things have come a long way. Trailer brakes, equalizer hitch, and sway control overcome all the obstacles of it being a half ton.

As to the transmission the new 10 speed co-oped by Ford and Chevy is pretty impressive. Tow mode changes shift points and line pressure to control heat. I made the line pressure part up but I bet it’s true. More pressure = tighter shifts = less friction = less heat. Heat is what kills a transmission.

My wife has a similar car. They're really nice vehicles.

Tires are the weakest link on an F150 currently.

Unless they have changed in the last few months they are not low range D or E.
