There is not a single football player in Texas A&M's entire 125 year program history who has more Total Yards and Total Touchdowns in their career than Sam Ehlinger.

Ehlinger started pretty much 4 years.

If we compared him to say Texas Tech. I bet he would be behind Graham Harrell, Kingsbury and Mahomes and Mahomes only played 3 years.

Roll, you know you college football, Ehlinger had about 200 yards more total passing than Mahomes but Ehlinger effectively played 3 2/3 seasons to Mahomes', 2 1/2 seasons based on passes thrown per season. Mahomes would have throw 5000+ more yards in equal seasons.

I think when UT and OU first were talking about joining the SEC, the idea was somewhat floatable and they could have been competitive. Now, I think they have a really rough row to hoe even being mentioned in the same sentence as the SEC.They would have been better off staying in the Big 12 and competing against the SEC schools once or twice a year. I just do not think either is prepared to play a SEC schedule week in and week out and I think it will be pretty evident the first year. But, to each their own.

OU has repeatedly proven they can't hang with the big boys, as evidenced by their play in the CFB playoffs when they've gotten that far. UT can't even make it that far, so they're delusional as always. The SEC will get to see what a big league ego looks like though, first hand.

Not many schools are ready to switch to the SEC and be competitive - it will probably take a couple years before they aren't in over their heads. But I think both are in better shape than A&M or Mizzou were before they made the switch.
