Hello,
I am looking for recommendations for a west texas muley hunt. This will be for my father and I, plus may two others. We aren't looking for a fully guided hunt, more so access to property and some intel for the area. We recently had a hunt in Sanderson that wasn't managed great, so we are looking for other options. Lodging is preferred as we will be travelling for the hunt, otherwise hotel/motels would be needed within an hour or so of the property. We are not after huge scoring deer and the cost associated with that, but we are chasing mature animals so we expect some sort of management for quality in the area. If you offer any hunts like this or have a recommendatin on who to go to please drop the names and your experience.
Exotics and Whitetails oppurtinity would be a plus but aren't a MUST HAVE for this hunt.
Thanks!

Best of luck. Imo you got to pay to play more so for even a decent size non trophy Mulie or you will get what you got in Sanderson. They ain’t cheap, anywhere and if they are it’s usually true good to be true. Might check with Mulie Mike he has some DYI properties for mule deer I believe.

Gotcha. Just some more background, we paid $1500 for our sanderson hunt if i recall correctly. The only improvements I would prefer is year round watering for the animals. The property we went to only started stocking water tanks the month before season, and the year we went was a total drought. Poor antler quality was a result. If that property stocked water tanks for a few months in spring and another month or so prior to season it would significantly affect their quality. Having said that, I would have paid almost double for that kinda of quality. Just my thoughts overall.
