He didn’t want to go home empty handed so he we after a desert bighorn the last day. What?!? Ram’s probabaly little easier to find on top of hills. Way it was on my Transpecos mule deer lease. Had two mountains, aoudad almost always on them Congrats OP, both are gorgeous animals.

How do you turn a deer hunt into a sheep hunt? License, tags, mony difference?? Both great animals, but for me, the sheep gets the nod.

Yes the money difference is huge on the ram and you are already out the cost of the mule deer hunt which was $12500. Ram was another $52500. I know that is a lot of money for anyone but to kill one in the US with an outfitter you are looking at a lot higher price for a ram in the 180’s. They are only on the mountains so we had to go to another ranch the last day to find them and you are going to be climbing, glassing and looking for them. Also be prepared to shoot 400-500 yards off a rock of shooting sticks. Ram is a dream of mine too but I can’t justify to myself that kind of price tag. He was happy and got a dream animal for himself. It was a great trip

Incredible animals!!! Congrats
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

both beautiful animals ... but yeah, the sheep would be out of my price point if I planned on staying married.

I really appreciate a quality dead deer/animal picture. I know it takes some thought and effort to position the rams body like that and I like it. I’m not sure I like the head position so I’m curious if that’s a common way to position one. Also curious how it’s head is held upright like that. Great pics, just curious and trying to learn.

Congratulations once again! Now I wait to hear the story once Anthony’s wife finds out…
Free range, every one that I have seen has been positioned that way.

whoa, those are both gorgeous animals! care to share the outfitter name/contact? Trophy hunt outfitters they have a face book page you can message them on Facebook. The owner of the outfitter also goes by Arturo tho on Facebook. I asked them about their website and they said it’s down for maintenance. Really good group of guys. Meet you at the airport and when you return they walk you through the process at the airport if you bring your gun. My guide was a local that lived on the ranch we hunted. He said come from January 1-15th for the best chance at a big mule deer. Oh and Batman we broke out the ice chest and drank a few tecate on the tail gate after we loaded that buck. My guide didn’t know a lick of English but I know just enough Spanish to get by. The owner and his sons which are guides both know pretty good English. If y’all contact them tell them Charles Flores sent you, I don’t get anything out of it just like them to know I appreciate the experience! The one thing about this part of Mexico is do not expect a hunt like in Texas or even Mexico in the Texas border. I have hunted both on a high rack and you will see 50 deer a day. It is real discouraging the first couple of days if you go in with a Texas mind set. I did not see a deer for the first 20 hours of riding in the high rack or walking ridges and glassing. The population is not the same but there are some big ones in there. We were also using a fawn in distress call on ridges and does would come running to it sometimes with a buck. On the last day we were set up on a ridge with a valley below and a ridge on the other side using the call and a mountain lion came running down the ridge straight at the call. My buddy tried to get a shot but he disappeared in the brush below us.
