My buddies and i are planning on a crane hunt next season (probably around thanksgiving)

Do y'all have any advice or suggestions on gear, ammo, calls?
I have only hunted ducks and turkey for years, and we want to get some cranes next season.

With a guide? Just need ammo and a gun, BB - #2

If you really want to hunt cranes and be successful it’s not easy or cheap. It’s best to get a group of 4-5 guys and split the cost of gear.

Access to land and time to scout.
A-frame blind
Decoys, You can get by with socks but I’ve personally had more success hunting over full bodies. I think the SX are the best. Start with a dozen, you may can get by with 1/2 dozen and just build up your spread.
Collect a bunch of tumbleweeds to brush in blinds.
Trailer to haul it all in.
Ammo

You can get a crane call, not sure how much they actually work. I’m sure they help give birds some added incentive at times to come in.
