Wanted to try something new, and this is the newest from Arken, the EPL4, 30mm tube, 6-24x50. Think I'll throw it on a Sako S20 6.5 PRC and see what happens. It is VERY smooth, excellent glass, and very tactile turret movement. We shall see how it holds zero and tracks.

My first thought was it looks heavy…looked it up 23oz. That’s excellent for being FFP and 24x50. Affordable too….congrats, looks like it could be a great buy.

I thought they were Japan though.

I run the EP5’s on both my comp 22’s and so far have been really impressed.

Judd I know the glass in the EP5 is from Japan, not sure on the other models.

I have been shooting primarily two rifles lately and one has a vortex pst2 5-25 the other is the arken ep 5-25. I can’t tell a difference. The pst2 has a fairly proven track record. I’m anxious to see how the arken fairs over time. I’m really pleased with the arken thus far. The glass is Japanese but made in China. They seem to have their QC dialed in.

I noticed Doug from Cameraland said they will start carrying the Arken line.
Have seen several on 22’s at matches but haven’t had the chance to run one yet.
After seeing how good the China made Bushnell Match Pro was I could see how these are being well received.

Are you still waiting on the 4-16x44's like the rest of us mere mortals? I've had one ordered since November 3rd.

The optics in the EPL4 series are from Japan and then assembled in China

Hope so. They've been telling me that exact same thing for the last 6 weeks.

I have been curious about the chatter around the Arken EP5s, this was gifted to me, I may have to build a heavier rifle so it will not try to invert itself everytime I pick it up.

Really wish it was MOA 🤣🤣

My son is going to put one of those EP5's on his LaRue 260. Should be great but we'll see.

I've never claimed to be a hardcore LR hunter, competition shooter, or hardcore dialer. I"m a hunter who loves accurate rifles, accurate scopes that track and hold zero, and great binos.

Anyway, took the Sako S20 6.5 PRC topped with the Arken EPL4 6-24x50 to a friend's place this past weekend to shoot steel out to 800 and whack some vermin. The S20 is stupid accurate with factory Norma 143gr match ammo, which is what I took since I haven't developed a load for it yet. Long story short, shot about 40 rounds from 100 yd zero out to 815 yards and every 100 yards in between, back and forth, numerous times, scoped performed to perfection. Glass is great too. Also spent time doing this.....

Hog was directly facing me at 198 yards, so the 143gr gold tip match was placed right between his eyeballs. About 30 minutes later the 'yote came in sniffing around and actually got on top of the hog with his front legs, so he got whacked too. Too much fun......

Awesome, that's what it's all about. Paper and steel get old quick.
