Well my guess on scoe would be low, didn't think that much 110 to 115. Curious if you weighed him No unfortunately didn’t weigh him, he had probably lost 30# from those first pics till when we killed him. Late rain last year had more weight on our deer than normal, we don’t feed either.

Wow. I wouldn’t of said he scored 110 from the first pics. He’s actually got more points than I thought. He must have a huge head to hide score like that. I measure the heads on all our bucks and they are usually about 12” from front to back on average. How big was that head? What did he field dress? If you had sent me that first pic and said he was 130 I’d say you were crazy, hell 110 would have been generous from my first glance at him. Didn’t weigh or measure anything but I’d say 150 dressed, head length wasn’t that much bigger but the circumference was the biggest I’ve seen. Just made 42 yrs on this ranch and didn’t see this coming. 10 pt, 9 in longest tine, 13.5 inside, 4.5 on bases. Best reference I can give you right now ha!!! that one grew! last one I shot there shrunk cool deer. congrats!! looks like another great year

Really, really cool old deer. I kept coming up about 120" on him seeing only 9 and didn't see the small G4 on his right. After you posted the pics of the skull next to the longneck bottle, I'm actually surprised he didn't go over 130"
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Like old bucks and especially those with history. My first thought was 9-10 yr old when looking at the body and forehead first. For score with those 2 facing shots, I got 48-50" tines and 80-83" down frame solely based off of his ear size compared to tines(which is what I always use) or 130". With the bulky body I felt I would either be right or be to high. We hunted a buck in La Salle County one time that was very similar. We saw him 3 yrs before we killed him. We never saw him with other bucks or even on cams with other bucks so we could judge him. We could tell his was heavy bodied, had a lot of antler mass and had a very distinctive dark hair coat...we called him the Black Buck. Largest buck killed on the ranch to date was 208 lbs dressed weight....this buck looked heavier than him. I felt he would score in the 150 or so range. When he was killed he was very short bodied and did not score as much due to that. He dressed in the upper 150's and barely made 140 on score...even with 40" of mass. Cool buck with history and congrats to your son.
