I tried Glucosamine for a while and it helped, but I've been reading of more benefits taking collagen peptides. Anyone have any experience? how much do you take and for how long?

Funny you should ask, I was just about start a thread.
I started Collagen Peptides mid Dec. I drink two 10 oince cups of coffee with two tabblespoons each of CP each morning.. I have continued Osteo Biflex with Turmeric twice daily.
Neck and upper spine no long creak and grind when I turn my head. I have a shoulder that felt gritty when I put on a shirt. It now, squeaks but moves smoother. Both of my thumbs have benifited. Gripping pliars or jars are not as painful.
My left knee has been replaced. I cant say my right knee has benifited, for sure unless I stop Osteo Biflex.
Mrs. LJ drinks a 10 ounce cup of hot tea with two tablespoons each evening. Her hair has become noticeable improved.
Our daughter suggested we try it. I was skeptical, of couse, but seems to worthwhile.
We have a couple months supply on hand, just have to see what happens.

I've been thinking about trying it but just haven't. The research I have done doesn't seem to indicate negative side effects. I think it's probably worth a try if you believe it might give you some relief. Doesn't look like apparent downside risk to me.

If you peel that thin membrane from the inside of an egg shell, that is pure collagen from what I have been told. I also make lots of bone broth to get the rendered collagen out of it. Haven’t used any store bought supplements at this point.
I might look into that Vital Proteins stuff.

Yep. Have been jarring it up. I'll buy some cows feet and ox tails from the grocery and then put them in a pressure cooker with water for about 6 hours. Strain it and jar it then add it to other stuff like rice, beans, stew, steamed veggies and mashed potatoes.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
