Have always loved these knives and always will, Germans make great cars and knives. Who has the largest selection of Pumas in DFW area?

Great knives! I have a Puma Deer Hunter and a Game Warden folding knife. Both have wood handles. My dad bought them in the early 1960’s. I also have a Puma Bowie with stag handle of the same era. One of the folding knives have field dressed every deer my family harvested since I began hunting in 1963.

Currently only have a Puma Duke and Puma Skinner, but bought my first one in 1968 (a skinner that I later gave to my baby brother) and bought myself another one (mid 1970's). And my Daughter of course, carries one in her Deer Hunting backpack. I've mostly given them as gifts....over the years. To my Brothers, Nephews and Good Friends. Puma 'Prince', 'Bowie' and 'White Hunter'. All of mine came 'Hollow Ground' and will shave the hair off your arm with zero effort (the hair just pops off). Easy to sharpen. Love 'em.

I had a great fixed blade Puma, sheath and all. I believe it was White Hunter of Skinner. I was 15 years old (45 years ago) and it was stolen from me by a lease members dirt bag drug addict son that I gave a ride to his stand. That was a great knife. I'd love to replace it with one from that same time period. I always check every pawn shop I'm in for a good used one, never see them.

House of blades at one time carried the complete line. Not so sure about these days?
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

I have 8 hunting knives. I do not have any folding knives. One of them is in wood presentation case. Most of mine were made in 60 's and 70's. I have one that is older that was made before they starting the date code telling when it was made. CGWBERETTA

I have several. I've had one my dad bought off a diver coming back from Africa that lost his wallet and needed some cash in 1984-1985. Hopefully hand it down to my son one day.
House of Blades in Fort Worth has a nice selection or did.

Skinner HUnter's Pal White Hunter ya! GWB It seems they aren't as well made as these from years ago. I think they changed hands or something. Lost a lot of the quality. The White hunter above is a Classic Puma Knife.

yep, the good old Pumas German steel shipped to Asia for assembly. Definitely NOT the original knife. This started in 2010 when Puma sold to SGB.

When was there some type of change? I remember years back, I would see some odd Pumas priced real cheap and I wouldn’t buy them. I thought maybe they were copies.

http://german-knife-shop.com/product-category/puma/puma-germany/PUMA Germany Puma Germany is the original label made in Solingen. Today, almost 250 years ago, they still manufacture blades and cutlery in top handmade quality under the brand name PUMA Germany. The company combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques. Tradition is a demanding taskmaster. To maintain and magnify a lore of perfection is a matter of pride, perseverance and adherence to long-established standards associated with a name and a product. This is the prime force behind the consistent superiority of Puma Knives, the reason they have won worldwide recognition as a great achievement of cutler’s art. Many direct descendants of the artisans who established the Puma standards work with their hearts, as well as their hands, in the constantly updated Puma factory. The sensitive skills required to craft straight razors, shears, scissors and other cutlery are applied to fine art of fabricating sporting knives that not only meet, but exceed the requirements of the most demanding hunter or fisher man. Note: We only offer 100% german knives made in Solingen, no PUMA SGB (SGB is a product series for the US market. Unlike our knives only the blades are made in Germany in the SGB series).

Skinner HUnter's Pal White Hunter ya! GWB I've been wanting to replace my stolen Puma for 45 years, I never see them in pawn shops or gun shows. That White Hunter you have, I would over pay and not regret it.

I’m working on my second Puma Prince. Good solid knives. The first one needed minor adjustment but was a heck of a knife.
