Great as appetizers, but we love them as a dinner with other sides. Jimmy Dean Maple sausage (can make your own, just add maple syrup), diced apples, pecans, cheddar cheese, a little Bisquick or flour, and some cinnamon. Dip them in sweet chili sauce, honey mustard, or even Chik-Fil-A sauce.

Creamy white sweet potatoes, tender garlic-butter snow peas, and a caesar salad with some Parm crisps.

Maple Sausage Meatballs

Ingredients
* 1# package of Jimmy Dean maple flavored breakfast sausage (1/4 cup maple syrup added to regular sausage will work)
* 1/4 cup chopped pecans (either honey glazed, or roast your own)
* 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese (if you grate your own, it binds better in the meatball)
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, or baking mix
* 1/2 cup coarsely grated or diced, peeled apple (any crisp ones will work)
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Cook pecans in small skillet over MEDIUM-HIGH heat 2-3 minutes or until lightly toasted, stirring constantly. Honey glazed ones from salad aisle are easier!
3. Place in large bowl. Allow to cool.
4. Add remaining ingredients; mix just until blended.
5. Shape into 36 (1-inch) balls; place in single layer in 2 lightly greased shallow baking pans.
6. Bake 14-16 minutes or until done (160°F). Serve with toothpicks.
7. Dipping sauces like honey mustard, sweet chili, fry sauce or blue cheese dressing are nice.
