Lot of noise out there about lifters delaminating in the 7.3L and causing flattening of the cam shaft between 30-40K miles. I was really considering the 7.3L in my next truck, but not so sure now. Most have been in RVs, chassis, Econoline vans, box trucks, and other commercial applications. So far, haven't really read about any in the pickup.
