Can you expand on this a bit for us. Is there a lot of difference between the 2022 & 2023 Superduty trucks?
Also, did you order it in a gas or diesel?
I know that diesel is a damn BEAST. My cousin loves his new one

Off the top of my head: 2022 does NOT offer any of these features below.

Driver assist, you can take hands off steering wheel and the truck will stay in your lane with Driver monitoring system (make sure you are paying attention while hands free)
Truck will back up to hitch type trailer automatically and place your truck under ball, no need to keep getting out or looking at camera in truck.
18 speaker system
Heads up display on windshield
When tailgate is down there is a camera on top of tailgate so you can still see.
Full laying down seats
Active payload indicator built in tail lights when loading.
Automatic load leveling front headlights.
Of Course Azure Grey color on premium trims.
Camera system now with 28 views.
Front parking sensors.
Built in 2KW generator, plug in pick up bed.
On board 5G
Automatic cruise control, NOW with stop and go assist. Truck can come to a complete stop in traffic and and maintain auto cruise.
Navigation will guide you through the best route for your trailer height.

Just to name a few.

I like it all except for the "driver assist." Is there an option for a bigger generator?

I can’t relax using the blue-cruise. The truck stays in its lane and handles the curves on the highway just fine. But I worry about other cars/trucks coming over into my lane and don’t want my hands away from the wheel. I’m looking forward to a road-trip away from heavy traffic… I think that will be a different story.

My wife's car is amazing with the hands free driving, I hope Ford is as good.

T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E color!

I needs a 60 grit flap disc on the grinder followed by some Krylon that's Cobalt Blue.

You'd have a good primer for the real blue.

My Paw had a Ford Courier in that color. Hated it!

Yup. Ford is even calling this a new generation of SDs.

Wow

Damn thing sounds like it will almost drive itself!
I've heard that the auto cruise control works pretty good. Boss' wife has it on her Denali and he said he loves it when they are traveling. He said there has been times were he literally has not touched the gas or brake pedals for 300 miles on the highway.

I'm guessing you are going with teh powerstroke?

Nice truck but that color would just generate alot of questions of manhood and judgement by friends and family. Nothing wrong with plain ole white or black.

Going to be a beaut, I do wonder how that blue paint will hold up to the first mesquite scratch, limb scratch. One of the main reasons I like my silver, F150 4x4, doesn't show scratches that noticeably. But guessing you trim your roads better and will keep it mostly on said tended roads.

Was it a 2023? If so, might have been a test mule or pre-production model heading to a show, etc. I think Ford finally issued the "OK to Buy" this week and the 5k+ 23s they've already built should start shipping soon if not already.

It's a dual-alt setup due to the dual battery package, kinda like the diesel.

The one I saw didn’t have the stupid side or bumper steps so I don’t think it was a 23.

Does that 7.3 gasser get 4 or 5 mpg?

eek2

Actually, I've seen 15-17 reported quite regularly. I know the 7.3 gets better mileage than my 2019 6.2 F250. But I don't buy heavy duty trucks for the mileage, and outside of a cursory glance to make sure the engine is operating properly, I've stopped worrying about mileage anyway. Life is a lot better and I enjoy my trucks a lot more.

The steps are not optional. Every Super Duty will have them. I'm not that big of a fan, but not a deal breaker either.

A girl I work with went from a 2016 3500 DRW Cummins to a 2022 f350 DRW 7.3 gasser. She drove from Houston to Stephenville with a four horse slant the weekend after she bought it and averaged 7mpg. She has some buyer's remorse.

SD will be fine. People who know him will be caught off guard. That blue is akin to some sort of dull putty and not shiny like everything else he has. You are starting to see that and similar colors more and more on Subarus and the like. That blue will look neat reflecting off his Airstream. Wondering if he is going to put jewelry on it that is black or chrome? I would put black, but the bet here is he goes for chrome.

I'll bet his trade in is worth buying.

Lot of noise out there about lifters delaminating in the 7.3L and causing flattening of the cam shaft between 30-40K miles. I was really considering the 7.3L in my next truck, but not so sure now.
