Just seeing if anyone has any experience with iray holo thermal sight specifically the hp06 compared to the hl13? I am interested in putting one on my mp5 for close distance shooting. To preface this I already have nods and a weapon mounted thermal for farther shots on a 300 blackout and a spotter mounted on a side by side. The area I hunt in east Texas is very heavily wooded and most shots are within 50 yards.

I have used the Fusion Fast AL19 from Infiray and a Sig Echo. Heads-up thermal is a specific niche. These sights will illuminate your face and upper body quite nicely. Stealth goes to hell.

FYI - That is not an iRay USA model so it will not carry the iRay USA support or 5 year warranty. Be very cautious....

What is both of your honest opinions? for a 9mm gun that is just going to be used for coons and smaller varmints and the occasional smaller pigs is it worth it or buy a cheaper of the line actual thermal scope? Like a Bering hogster stimulus or one of the more cost effective units?

What is your realistic budget and what will your average shooting distance be?

Budget is 1500 or less and realistic range is under 50 yards. I already have a hogster and nods with ir laser.
