TCU did get a top 30 recruiting class this year  How embarrassing is it to be UT and A&M
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, b/c they know not victory nor defeat"- #26 TR

It was obvious that UT was going to fire him. They needed to make sure everything was handled cleanly from a legal perspective.
I hope Beard gets his act together, but it sucks for the basketball team. It's obvious that Rodney Terry is nowhere near as good a coach and certainly doesn't emphasize defense.

As a Tech fan I was first a bit happy to see this go down in flames, but now I just feel sorry for the guy. Not that he got fired or that he doesn’t deserve it but just that he must be in a dark place. The guy had everything he probably dreamed of and pissed it all away.

Beard may need to do what his predecessor at TTU did, Billie Gillispie after some disgrace and controversy. Go down and coach a couple of levels down, in Gillispie's case, Ranger JUCO for 5 years, prove yourself and let dust settle, then come back up. Gillispie is now coaching Tarleton State, far cry from TTU, A&M and Kentucky where he had all HC'd at but it is D1. Don't know if Beard's ego will allow this but Gillispie has laid out the template before him....

He's a goner for sure. Which sucks because he was doing great things with the basketball program. I think college basketball is one of the sloppiest sports out there so I don't care much about what's going on. It does suck that someone can have so much promise and be at the top of his game or close to it, and then piss it all away. When the wife and I heard what had happened we weren't surprised. That guy is intense and passionate when you have those two traits you better damn well be able to control it. It seems like he let this one get out of control, and will lose everything for it. Sucks to see anyone crashed so hard. Repost

Good to see Jordan Whittington coming back next year. Their receiving corp should be really good.
Does anyone know if Arch Manning has any run game? IMO, the lack of a QB with any running ability has really held the Horns back.

Good to see Jordan Whittington coming back next year. Their receiving corp should be really good.
Does anyone know if Arch Manning has any run game? IMO, the lack of a QB with any running ability has really held the Horns back.
JR They say he's pretty athletic, apparently he is used to being under duress. His wheels are supposed to be pretty good.

Of course, I was purely talking about how a disgraced coach can get back "into the game" as has been done before. All assuming he is disgraced.
