I didn’t play well today. Shanked two in a row off the tee box into the woods on a par 3. Been watching a new guy online with swing tips and should have known to work on it on the range and not the course. Oh well felt good to just be out there.

The end of this week has been a Wuz Going To for me

Was going to golf yesterday but ended up having lunch with my son. . Was going to go hunting this afternoon before the front blows in, daughter needed her daddy this evening. Moral of the story, our kiddos trump everything else!

Three weeks will be my all time longest without playing since I started in October of 2019.

Ese, what are you using for driver, irons these days? Taylormade Qi-10 driver and Mizuno irons. I was getting that Ping G425 LST out there pretty good yesterday in cold, wet windy conditions, mid to upper 40s and blowing 15-20mph. The 6 week layoff helped my driving. Lol

Dang what did you do that driver? I’ve had a head break off at the hozzel, but never seen anything like that. You hit one way out on the toe to cause that damage, or did it get run over by the cart

Jesus, golf is frustrating. I hit 11 of 14 fairways, and hit 0 greens from the fairway.... the only 2 greens I hit were on the par 3s.

The bad part was I was without my driver for 3 weeks so I haven't practiced driving, and have only been playing par 3s on the sim, and I couldn't hit a wedge for the life of me. I shot a 93, but felt more like a 105.

Three pars, a birdie, and lots of bogies. Maybe today will be better.

Had a tee time for 11:33 at Tennison Highlands course for today and invited a bud to play, well he lives way north in Prosper and wanted to play Frisco Lakes Golf Course at 12:30 instead

Been many moons since I played that course but remembered that it was a nice fun course, so I asked my friend how much $ he said somewhere in the $50 + range but you get a free Hamburger and beer included.
Asked if there was a senior discount he said probably.

Well I called the pro shop asked what there green fee was? He said $59. + tax. Then asked if there was a senior discount? Yes it is $47 + tax, me; does that include a free Hamburger and Beer?
No, you have to pay regular rate of $59 + tax for that.

Going to eat a Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich before I leave and carry snacks with me to save $12 + tax. Yes I am a frugal SOB with most things!

Wow the last time I played this course they were taking money out of a trailer, road was a one lane POS.
Club house is very nice, course was in good condition other than the greens that have played decent barely missed a couple of short birdies

Regular price is $59.00 and you get anything on the menu and a beer, my buddy was munching on a good size pizza when I walked in and it looked very good.
For the money it is a very good course!!

Course was in good condition considering this time of year with freezes etc. Only a minor issue with the Greens the grass was dormant because of the freeze I guess?

Stubby, is that #7? My brother lives out that way and I played it last Spring for the first time. For the price I thought it was pretty decent course. I did get a hamburger and beer afterward as part of green fee, was fairly tasty and filling. Unlike you, I took a crack at driving #7 green into a cold, 10-20 mph headwind at time. Couldn't of clocked it much better but came up about 5' short of clearing water, green side. Nice double bogeys, lol!
