Looking for suggestions on best blind in this rough sizing. Basically a comfortable 2 man blind. Don’t need a big tower as it will sit on a bluff overlooking an open bottom. Just looking for best quality stand out there that will last and be as rodent proof as possible. I know there are probably several brands I’m not familiar with so I was just looking for some guidance. Thanks.

I’m a dealer over in the TX Panhandle for Maverick blinds. These 2 are both 6 1/2’ diameter and about 6’4” tall in the middle. They’re hard to beat for the price and will last a lifetime. I’m sure there’s a dealer closer to you! Pretty much all I’ve hunted out of for the past 5 seasons.

Ranch King, Atascosa, RedNeck, Dillon, etc. Blinds have made a big jump price wise in the last 2-3 years, for a 5x6, you may have to jump your budget upward by $500-1000 from what I'm seeing. 4x4s and 5x5s are pretty much going for around $2500-3000, mostly.

100 percent. Wes is a good man and those blinds are outstanding. I have had 3 of them in the past and they are well built, warm and windows and doors are tight against wasps etc.

We have 3 of Wes' blinds and love them. 2 5x8 hexagons and 1 6x8 sitting over a bluff. I know you said you don't need a tower, however I would make sure that you at least get a platform to keep it off the ground and make it last longer. On our 6x8, Wes made a 4' platform that does that perfectly

I gotta start selling blinds. I have never been in a factory blind that I liked more than what I build myself. They're modular, easily put on a tower, deerview windows, great to shoot from with the minimal rest I put in and never had more than $500.00 in one. Maybe 8 hours total labor. Im glad Wes is getting so much love for his blinds. His blinds are very similar to a lot of others out there which is fine. His service sets him apart. Also he builds his own towers in house and can do whatever you want if want custom(I think.).

I always thought the design on the potbelly blinds was backwards. If part of blind is going to be bigger(I wouldnt) it seems to me the bottom wouild be bigger than the top. I want the windows close enough to reach, rest and shoot and if any extra room I want it to stretch out legs without bumping anything. Never hunted out of one but cant imagine the upside(for me.)
Seems similar to an auto with steering wheel further than the pedals. If someone can explain the upside, Im all ears.

Anyone have any experience with antler sheds? Thanks everyone for the information so far. Got lots to look into.

I have 2 Antler Shed blinds. I’ve been very pleased with them. Love the carpeted shooting rails, shelves below the shooting rails and shelves up high on the end. Very comfortable and well made blinds. I have a 4x6 and a 5x8. If you are by yourself, frankly the 5x8 is too big. If you have someone with you, that size is fantastic. I actually think the 5x6 is probably the ideal size. Mine have windows that slide left to right. Windows that slide down is an option—I do think that would have been the better choice.

I also have 2 of the Ranch King Little Buck blinds (4x5). These things are tanks (built like a tank and weigh as much as a tank). Solid as hell. Windows are great. Only improvement that I could make would be a carpeted shooting rail.

I’d recommend either of these brands as a lifetime purchase. I suggest that when you go to look, plan to take your time. Think about climbing in with your gear, storing/reaching your gear, adjusting a chair, open the windows. Really think about how you will use it.

I have two of the 4x6 ( SC2) , but be aware, the usable space is smaller than 4x6 so it would not really be comfortable for 2 adults. I also have one of the SC3, and it has more room, but if you want plenty of room I'd get the SC4. I really like the fact it comes with a base attached and for a ladder, and all you need to elevate it is some 4x4 posts and 2x4's for support and ladder steps.

Also, a buddy of mine has some of the Antler Sheds, and the interior is very nice. The built-in shooting rail and shelves with the carpet are very convenient.
