I don’t know that the S&P page you are talking about. I have a hard time believing even a 110 VMAX wouldn’t be effective at 6.8 speeds but I know many people like to complain about everything, especially bullet failures in dead animals. It was posted above. https://www.sellierbellot.us/produc...-ammunition-with-pts-bullets/detail/235/You can shoot what you want or what you can find right now. There is information on the net about the new PTS.

I’m about to get out of 6.8 SPC bc ammo is so hard to find unless you reload. Can’t find the 90 grain ammo anywhere. I just did for that same reason. My gun loved that XM68GD 90 grain.

I use 6.8 SPC hornady black ammo for hogs. My favorite combo as hogs flop

I have Cronographed the 125 sst. I was getting 2100 fps out of the Fiocchi stuff. When I worked up a load for sst, my most accurate load ended up being almost an exact duplicate.

$30 to $40 for a box of 6.8 is getting old. 7.62X39 may be my next AR upper so I can afford to shoot more. The 6.8 is becoming too hard to find and way too expensive to plink with anymore.
GO TRUMP!

Barnes Tac-TX is what I shoot in 300BO and it performs wonderfully on pigs and deer.
This. Best 300 BO ammo I’ve used.

This. Best 300 BO ammo I’ve used. Roger that. That's a nasty bullet in the BLK, I will never use another. It works well, will mushroom and punch through a pig almost perfectly every time under 200 yrds. Longest shot I've made with it at night was 160 yrds. Broke both shoulders and exited on a 275lb boar, dead pig. Those copper bullets mean business and are especially important at blk velocities.

Cavity back bullets has some of the loaded 6.8 105mkz rounds available right now. It's a monolithic bullet like barnes but expands more and to lower velocities. Check those out as long as your rifle is chambered for 6.8spc II cause they are hotter than the standard spc. Also druid hill armory has 120sst loaded, 50rds for $65 , pretty good deal. I think they also have some 300bo ammo.

I shot a hog two days ago with my 300 BO using 110 gr Hornady V-Max......these are the red tipped ones. Using a peep sight at 75 yards.....hit right where I was aiming and it didn't move. It says 2350 or 2375 fps on the boxes from a 16 inch barrel, which is what I have. I've started loading my own.....I'll test those next. You can buy them from Wilson Combat.
Where are the Barnes Tac-TX available?
