There used to be a place along the John Hart Highway through central British Columbia that had more Humming Birds then any place I know of.
It was a favorite stopping place when I went to Prince George to visit my sister and bil.
I said had because the business burnt to the ground a few years back.
At certain times of year Hummers heading to or from the Yukon and Alaska would go through the pass where this business was situated.
At peak times there would be from ten to thirty Hummers, from three different Species, Ruby Throated, Rufus, and Calliope Hummingbird, in their yard.
Photo #2 is a Calliope Hummingbird, the rest are Rufus Hummingbirds. There were a couple Of Ruby Throated Hummers there that day but I didn't get any photos of them, I was more interested in the Rufus and Calliope Hummingbirds.
