Good morning Everyone! Just dropping in to say hello! New to site and hope to gain some insight from the pros. I'm a retired Marine and I love to hunt. Native of GA and country boy always. I've been hunting since I was 8. I hunt Fisher County and a few surrounding areas. I also travel a good bit to hunt other states. Anyone have a good guess on when the peak of the rut is in Fisher County? The rut maps for Texas look like a shotgun blast. Some deer are in full rut and the ones across the street are still bunched up! Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome and thank you for your service! Not very familiar with the deer activity in that part of the state, but I’m guessing you’re on the front end of the rut. I’ll let an expert chime in though. Here in North Texas we’re in between the first and second wave.

Welcome! Thanks for your service! I am in western young county east of you & our bucks were running hard over Thanksgiving. Sorry I can't help you more.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service sir!

As far as the rut goes you couldn't be more right. It is kind of crazy how 20 or 30 miles in some cases makes a 2-4 week difference in the rut.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Thanks for your service salute and welcome to the forum

Your best bet would be contacting a game biologist for that area up

Good suggestion. Always good to know your GW and local biologist(s).
