What is the barrel life of a 22 CM. I use to shoot a 22/6mm and it was short 10 shot strings, running it fairly fast 600 rounds tops.. just about the same as a 22-250 or even your 22/243 Yup. But give it 5 shots, then cool down to no felt heat, and you'll probably double that barrel life. Fully agree.

Update:
I decided to have Drew Wilson from Bison, SD spin me up a barrel that he had on hand (18' threaded Wilson blank, 1-8" twist). He is a member of the 22 Creedmoor FB group and he seems to do good work. I should have my barrel here by next Monday. Fingers crossed that it will half way shoot. First two barrels that I chambered were Wilson barrels (not to be confused with Wilson Combat) because if I messed them up they were half the cost of a B barrel. Both shoot well and Cooper Rifles used their blanks and they are known for being shooters. I’ve since went back to my B barrels but not because there was anything wrong with them. I got my 22 Gaymoor dies in today, might try to make that thing go bang this weekend.
