He looks 5.5 in some pics and 6.5 in others and could be even over 6.5.
If you have 3 years history of him, do you have pics of him 2 years ago?

23-24 inside
104-106 Down
45-47 up
149-154

I’m same as you on everything but down. I had him 100 down. But I struggle on velvet mass and velvet in general

145-147 here

My kind of frame

I think you are right. Looking at the pics of him from last year I think he has a little less mass than I was allowing.

His beams may fool though being that he is so wide and so will some other things on him. Big frame deer always score better than what I can add up looking at them. lol

I still think he is going to end up right on 150 or a bit better.

I’m thinking like ILUV. Big frame deer usually score better than appear. Smokey’s explanation was great but I think the beam length and width just distort the rest. My down is close to Grosvenor but i think his tines will fool you. I’ll adjust my mid 150 to 150.

I'lll never forget that deer, saw him the day before the season started locked on to a doe, and I believe it was opening day that we pushed him over the fence trying to get a shot for my oldest son. I can remember the exact moment and location we felt a little wind change and he was gone. One of the few deer that regret not taking the gun and shooting but still happy for you that you killed him.

Changing my age guess. At least 6.5. most likely 7.5. He just don't look much like a 35 year old man. He looks more like me. LOL He looks post mature to me.

Thanks for the update. Rack looks smaller in that pic. Tines lay back and that lg2 curves in so maybe it’s deceiving. Pretty good look at his width.

Grosvenor, he is undoubtedly 6.5 and I believe Freerange is right. May just be 7.5 or older.

That deer will make a beautiful mount with the wide spread and big frame. I've seen multiple 155-165" deer that have multi-points on them that are not NEARLY as impressive as this deer is.

Hope you guys get him laid down

One thing is for sure, he won’t be hard to find. My man loves the camera, haha.

that deer is 7 or 8 years old - the score I get 140's - lack of mass hurts his score - beautiful old warrior though and needs to be taken IMO

Agree and if I saw him if possible he would be as old as he will ever get.

Im' going against a lot of wisdom, however I would let him go 1 more, hope that I saw him and hope we have a good rainy productive year. I think he could pick up even at his age a bunch of mass. I think he is 7 1/2 up

We saw him on the hoof this morning. We had a good look at him for at least an hour, but my son’s goal was a Thanksgiving gobbler. He’s old, no doubt.

Bro, tell your son you are adopting me! I'd have removed him from the gene pool in a damn hurry!
I'm still not sure if he is going to be 140s or 150s but he will look damn good on the wall!!
And there is no doubt this dude likely has some cupped out molars. I'm betting he is over 6.5!

Get someone on him before he breaks up!

I’ve been busy so not sure if I missed the final score. I think I had said 150 but now I’m not so sure he makes that. Great buck. Congrats to all.

He taped out at 144.25 and I pulled a tight tape (no dad tape stretching on this one, haha). He was 23.25 inches wide and both main beams were 23 and change. I know just enough about teeth aging to say he was 7.5 plus and I've asked our long time taxi to share his thoughts. I'll follow-up when I hear from Tommy.

We had a great five days, with 4 bucks and 5 does taken along with a handful of pigs. The highlights included 2 boys taking their first deer and one of my best buddies taking his career best buck. I think I posted a pic of his buck, but I'll add it here.
