A forum is not critical enough for me to upset about things people post. Bill was very helpful with advice on dog training and cooking. I think he got trolled/baited a lot in the off topic and got irritated at times. The older you get the less patience you have. I hope he's OK.

Didn’t keep up with all the stuff folks seemed to get all wound up with him. Always liked him, it’s hell getting old, hope he is well.

I started a thread in the upland game bird section.
He posted on it 9-7-22, several responded to his post but he never commented back.

I never had a problem with him at all, but I havent been around as long as some of you. He certainly had many short comments that made little sense, but I would just chuckle and go on by. At least to me he seemed perfectly harmless. I actually liked him from what I knew.
I dont understand why anyone would think his family would keep him off here. This forum seemed to be his whole life that he must of enjoyed completely. Why would anyone want to take that away from him.

I miss that Bill could get under some of your skins. Shouldn't have read his posts.

I miss Bill a lot. Sure, he re-posted the same photo or post here and there but it never bothered me. Reminded me a lot of my grandfather telling me the same stories almost every time I saw him. That never, ever bothered me one bit and I'd give anything to hear my grandpa tell those stories again. I hope Mr. Oxner is doing well and is enjoying more time with his family.

Hope the best for the gent. Much of his short comments was just post-count stuff. I don't recall ever getting worked up about anything he said. He loved him some quail hunting.

I miss Bill and as stated, He told the same stories and posted the same pictures. He is a good man. My dad used too do he same and my grandfather. I would love to sit down with them both again. I will someday....

And occasionally he'd post up a new picture and tell the story of that one too. I enjoyed those posts. Hope to see more.

I forgot about the pics. Really enjoyed them. I’m sure he cherished looking at them and reliving. Posting for us was a way of sharing those memories and I’m thankful for the forum being able to do that. I hope to see his posts and pics again.

If He's not ill,,, His daughter probably has Him Handcuffed and Duct Taped in His bedroom. Be the only way to keep Him off the forum.

Since I've been in and out over the years, there's a lot I've missed out on. Was there anything said about his daughter/her husband that leads everyone to these conclusions, or is it just assumptions since that's all that has changed?
