It was/is called Cooks Fish Barn. We used to have a lease 2 miles from there many years ago. All you can eat catfish for $6.50 or steak for $8.50. It was like an old VFW hall or something. Food on one end, buffet tables in the middle and a stage on the other end. Food was great and you got live entertainment to boot.

The best ever was in Denison, when it was called Crow's Nest. Hands down, the best. Its called something else now and is mediocre at best.

Some really good ones are in Miller Grove and Pean Gap. I like Pecan Gap better, but I think its because I have to drive thru Ladonia to get there........

Possum Kingdom Lake try Fox Hollow.

I think that is the place we went once. It was great. There used to be a real good one in Carbon but I think it closed down.

If by some stroke of good fortune you find yourself in Tyler check out Paulines. They have 3 kinds of fried cat fish, my favorite is cajun, all in a buffet. Their jalepeno hush puppies and cole slaw make perfect sides. Should that not trip your trigger they also have chicken fried steak in the trough. Dang! I just made myself hungry again.

Searching the world over for the perfect Chile Relleno.
