I gave up on trial cams several years ago. I couldn’t take the aggravation of them lasting one season and breaking or not working. I’m mostly hunting for meat now. I’d like to shoot a big whitetail but I’ll just have to be surprised. I've been running Browning Command OPs 24/7 year 'round with no problems. They have been operating for at least 4 years now.

I will add to stay away from those with the mini cards. I have no idea why the vendors would use those in these apps. Hard to handle, and if it falls on the ground, good luck. Two years ago, I was in the back cab of my truck, pressed it in and it flew out. Never have found that card.

I agree Leroy. I have one camera that uses a mini and I hate fooling with it. Those tiny little suckers have their place, but it's not in trail cameras. Twenty lashes for whoever made that decision.

I've had good luck with Stealthcam, both in standard and cell cam. Been running them since 2019.
I had an issue with one and they replaced it, no problem.

Just put a Moultrie cell cam out last weekend to see how it works in the field. I've been impressed so far with the connectivity (its sending pics every 6 hrs) so far as I have set it up in an area on the lease that is real spotty coverage (cell phone is iffy there). Next time out will need to move it to a higher traffic area as I want to see how if compares (trigger, motion sensitivity,, etc) to the existing camera in the area.
Real simple to use and change settings remotely using the app.

I have a Tactacam that was relatively easy to set up (~10 minutes total) and has been reliable. Decent pictures day or night and for about $13 a month (a little cheaper per month if you agree to 6-month contract) it links to cell service and pictures are available real time on the app/website. Only downside is I get about 6 weeks on a set of AA batteries. I'll likely look for a solar charger in the near future as well.

Real simple to use and change settings remotely using the app. I've been using one in an area where it shows a weak signal but it keeps sending photos. However, I checked the memory card the last time I was at my lease and found it had photos stored on the card that I had deleted earlier using the app. Still, they appeared to be photos that were transmitted earlier so nothing was lost. I would suggest checking the memory card the next time you're at the camera to see if there are photos stored on the card that were somehow never transmitted. If so, I strongly suspect it's the result of the camera running on a weak signal in a cellular fringe area.[align:center][/align]

We have a hodge podge of many different kinds. None of them seem to be work without issues. We have a couple that have just been used one year that have been trouble free(so far) and are easy. Cabelas, I think they call them Outfitter Gen3.

None of them seem to be work without issues. Agreed. I seriously doubt you'll ever see a game camera that comes with anything more than a one year warranty.

my Browning cams have done well for several years but hard to catch them on sale. I started buying Stealth Cam when Midway puts them on sale and they seem to do pretty good and easy to setup. They just don't seem to last very long as I have lost several to moisture during rainy times. Seems a lot of folks having trouble with their cell models.

Bushnell Cellucore cams are fairly simple.
I’ve had luck with Primos traditional non cell cameras.
