I have not seen a single buck I would shoot this year where I hunt in East Texas and I’m not even a huge trophy hunter. My standards are pretty low. Been pretty disappointed.
Same here in Leon county. A few young bucks is all I’ve seen, the grandson said he saw an 8 that was close, just too young to shoot.
It’s always been good hunting here and we would see multiple shooters, I let several walk while trying to get a hog or coyote.
Last year was a little better seeing legal bucks but all we took was a spike.
I hope we’re not being poached.
