Post your favorites. This is one of mine. Decided to dust it off this year after it sitting in the safe for about 5 years. Ruger 77 in 338 Federal, McMillan stock, SWFA 3-9 HD. Loaded it with 200 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips at 2600 fps. Should punch a nice round hole all the way through from almost any angle. Group shot last weekend with 200 NBTs and heavy charge of Alliant MR2000.

This one is my favorite, my go to…and idk why the X Bolt isn’t more popular than it is For a factory rifle, it’s solid AF XBolt in 22-250 w Silencer Co Hyrbid 99% of my whitetail shots are under 200 yards and 99% of those bucks are under 200 lbs I really don’t care anymore what people say about the 22-250, I’ve got piles of bucks w it

That’s a nice set up. I doubt Remington is going to even make the Seven now.

For a favorite, is it just personal experience?
Ive tried a lot of them and I think I like the barrel burners the best
If I ever decided to move on from the 22-250, I think Id go w a Weatherby round
Give me a screamer, just melt a barrel at 1500-2000K rounds is my style
I like 4000k FPS

That’s a nice set up. I doubt Remington is going to even make the Seven now. Especially the AAC models. I got lucky and found that one on Gunbroker that was new old stock. One of the better deals I ever found on there.

If not the 22-250, .240 or .257 Weatherby, I lean more to the .240
But my unicorn is the Ruger red pad 220 swift and ill add a wide view Redfield to keep it real
And I had one bought for asking last year, seller got cold feet for some reason...Thats my unicorn and if I ever get it ill be buried with it...has to be clean

Didn't own a deer rifle until I was well into my twenties. Little wonder this Model 700 carries more battle scars and has taken more wild game that any rifle I own.

I've a number of Browning rifles. Perhaps you've heard the expression "It knocked his "dcik" in the dirt. This Hell's Canyon Speed in 26 Nosler did just that. Shot him straight on and the 142 Gr. Accubond caught him at the point of the withers and exited at his pecker. He just dropped at the shot. When i rolled him over and saw the pink part, I noticed that it had literally done that. LOL This Max Long Range in 6.5 PRC is a death ray to 300 yds. The last couple years or so I've killed more critters after dark with a plain jane X-Bolt in 308 than anything else. It's topped with the ATN 4K pro. I'm not a long range shooter but have shot coons and jacks out to 163 paces. It is death on hoglets. ya! GWB

That is a nice buck. I still have a few wood stocked rifles. Thank you. Rifles with wood stocks are somewhat harder to find these days but thankfully folks are still making them. One day I'm going to pull the trigger (pun intended) on a new Winchester Model 70 Super Grade in French Walnut.
