I can highly recommend using a "manger" to prep the animal before hanging. It gets the animal up out of the dirt, and it gets you up off of the ground. You don't have to fight to keep the animal legs up. And on those hunts where multiple animals have come back from the field, it lets you get the next one started.

Very nice! A roof and a passel of kids at camp to do the knife work would complete the new setup
