Don’t know anything about them, not really looking for a log home.
I guess it showed up on my YouTube, probably because of my sawing and wood searches.

Watched a couple of videos. Seemed like a solid company. They make no apologies for loving America, God, the Constitution, military and first responders.

Between maintenance and higher insurance premiums I steered away from them. Not the brand but rather all log homes.

Had Satterwhite build one for us at the Ranchito (Muldoon/La Grange area) and had it 12 years. 2800 sq ft. Single story with 10 foot ceiling and a 20 foot ceiling in the great room. Had finish work with a Local Company out of Lost Pines (Bastrop). They were a good Company to do business with. Loved it with no issues.[Linked Image] [Linked Image]

The owner "Sammy Satterwhite" was a very good person and businessman. He stood behind his product and did lots of good for Longview. Sadly he passed away due to Covid. I think the family still runs the business. I have been in several of the houses they built and they are down right beautiful.
Several of my previous coworkers were owners of a few of them and talked about having to re-stain/seal them every few years. I know they use dead standing timber from up in Colorado and Utah, that is dried by nature. Other than that their website has lots of options and information.

I saw another of their videos and they provide prices. They showed a 2500 sq ft one, she’ll only and it was 182k. Didn’t sound bad. That includes all interior walls, foundation, windows doors.

You would have to pay for finish out. AC, electric, plumbing, septic, drywall, kitchen, fixtures, shingles. Etc.

Apply good stain/sealer and don't have to fool with it. Use the best Home Depot and lowes sells and you will stain every so often. Sold the Ranchito and house (12 years old) still looked like it did when Company applied it. Listen to Satterwhite on Sealer and you will not have problems. Stuff costs a fortune and don't remember the Name. But it will hang. Concrete and Log Build Guys with Satterwhite were top notch.

Wife wanted taller ceiling and different sized rooms (layout) and they accommodated Her. Custom job and will do whatever you want. Seems like it was well over $200.000 plus finish out with another Company. Probably higher now for sure. Made a nice Ranch house.

I was hired to contract one a little over ten years ago. It was to be a three phase deal at Lake Fork. I would get the slab poured and then step aside and let Satterwhite do their thing. Then my subs would finish.

Though I was to get the slab done it came with a foundation plan from Satterwhite. The lot was waterfront with a steep slope. There were no piers. I told the owner this wouldn't work. I hired an engineer and the home instantly went up $20,000.

It was two story. After the bottom floor was done I noticed nothing but a pigtail of wire coming out of the top above every light switch and electrical outlet. I asked Satterwhite's guy why the wire didn't go to a junction box or sub-panel on the second floor somewhere that would be accessible. He said this is the way we do them all and shrugged it off. After a call to the owner a truck drove up the next morning with a bed load of wire. Satterwhite's guys then pulled every wire out and ran new ones into a mechanical area on the second floor. They were mighty pissed at me. However, the way they were doing it an electrician would not have been able to troubleshoot anything later.

All in all, when finished it was a big beautiful home.

They poured our slab 18 miles Southwest of La Grange. Bad clay/sandy loam soil area. Drill 6 foot deep piers every 10 foot outside slab and every 8 foot inside where load walls would be. This was 2007 ish time frame. Satterwhite's Concrete Crew's Bobcat went down and they used my 773G for 3 days drilling piers.
