I have carried daily for about twenty years. Anymore I don’t leave the house without my gun. For the first 15 years I carried printing was a big no no. Your gun had to be concealed. IWB hides the gun way better then OWB and when it must be concealed IWB is the choice. OWB is a lot more comfortable and you don’t have to worry about having your pants a little on the larger side but it doesn’t hide the gun nearly as well.
In 2016 the law changed making open carry legal. I don’t intentionally open carry but I find myself carrying OWB a lot more because if I accidentally expose the gun it doesn’t matter. The 43 is a small gun so I doubt you will have problems either way but I would make the IWB/OWB decision based on how hidden you need to be.

Have been debating on starting to carry and need some input from those who do. I'm looking pro's and con's on what kind of holster and where to carry that will help me decide on what holster to get.
First of all it will be for a Glock 43. Next thought is should it be leather or plastic. I would like to stay under $100 also. Do I need a holster with an extra clip pouch or not. Which is easier for concealment inside waistband or out. I mostly wear t-shirts in the summer and log sleeves in the winter like most folks do here in Texas. I like to carry my cell phone on my right side so I would like feed back on using a cross draw location or any other suggestions for location. Thanks in advance for any thoughts you care to share. I use a a Bianchi 100 for my Glock 43. Comfortable and easy..... https://www.amazon.com/Bianchi-26082-gun-belts-Tan/dp/B00HB1ZN2GSame for me except for CZ 75 Compact. Modified to add the piece to shield my side from the grip and the grip from my sweat. I can’t seem To find a holster that I don’t think I can improve for my use. I’m not a leather worker so it doesn’t look great but is concealed anyway and has lasted several yeasrs.

I have no butt and I'm "Chunky" I have to wear suspenders to keep my pants up a belt hurts my back, so I've worn a shoulder holster for years. Bianchi agent style shoulder holster serves both very well.
