At almost 69 years old I just never felt the need. I have seen some stunningly good work and I can admire good work on both men and women.

Just one man's opinion but when I was a kid in the seventies and the World War II vets had tattoos it was pretty cool and unique. Today it's just par for the course and you're almost more unique if you don't have any ink.

My wife told our boys if they got a tattoo before they finished college they are on their own.

Glad I never got one.

Not sure how this would apply to all the geezers, metrosexual and hipster guys on here, but as far as wimmens go, daddy always said the pretty girls don't need 'em and the ugly or fat ones shouldn't be calling attention to themselves

Just seen about my response. I personally don’t have anything against those who have tattoos. I know a lot of people that do, they stereotype people with them as outlaws or bad people. I know people who are intimidated by people tatted up. Is what it is. I’ve seen many that I really like.

I must say, I know a woman with several tattoos. One is a rather large Frankenstein on her left chest. On the other is the bride of Frankenstein. She has a vampire on her thigh. I am sure the wolfman is somewhere, but I dare not inquire. I immediately judged the book by the cover, but she is quite the woman. Likes her a lot.

I don't have any. I've thought about getting one but can't ever think of anything. The only thing that important to me that I would tattoo it on me would be something about my faith and family.

If I did get something it would cost me a fortune because it would have to be done right and a tat is way down on the list when it comes to what I want to spend money on.

I do find them attractive on SOME women.

I know several firemen with pretty sweet tats, believe me, it's not a sign of low self esteem.

The Bible does not condemn tattoos for Christians. This may come as a surprise but not everything written in the Bible was written TO you. It was written FOR you. Context is often overlooked but so important.

I don’t have any. I’ve thought about it as well and just can’t think come up with a design at this time. I have thought may be about one to honor my Grandfather and Uncle that retired from the Air Force and then another to honor my Dad, Step father, and best friend that were all in the Corps.

On women I don’t mind if they have a small one but I just don’t care for the large tats or all over their body. I just don’t think they enhance the beauty of the female body.

I'm going out just as clean as I came in. I do have lots of battle scars though.

I don't have any. I have several clients that have some... most y'all would never assume they have one. I've seen some true works of art and some that look like a 3 year old that suffered from seizures did 'em. My favorite tattoos were on a veteran that had been blown up in a Humvee...the artist that did his work did an amazing job hiding the scars.

I had a husband and wife buy some cell phones about 20 years ago that had gotten matching tattoos on their ring finger instead of getting wedding rings. The tattoos lasted longer than the marriage.

None. I dont have anything against them until they cause a distraction or undue attention. Only thing Ive ever considered was having my kids bdays somewhere but again, I dont want undue attention and having to answer a billion times what the dates on my arm mean.

I have my two oldest kid's names tattooed on my chest, my youngest kids keep asking me when I'm going to get their names on my chest too. LOL.

I do have 1 tat that I regret getting. I was so drunk and pissed off at my first wife after I caught her cheating, I got a tattoo on my upper left arm that says "God forgives, I don't".
Well, as I've aged I have forgiven her. Been screwed over pretty bad by others too, and I forgave them. So, that tat kinda lost it's meaning a long time ago and I'd like to cover it up somehow. Plus, it looks like chit.

Another consideration. Employment. I’m an ex Executive Recruiter (now retired). I hunted mostly management and executive candidates. Once you put on a necktie and grey suit with matching tie, body markings are a huge negative.

I’ve also been in politics. It’s also a huge negative there.

Getting inked needs to be thought out before hand! Some like the art involved but there are some that go for shock! Of coarse there are hipsters that see something cool and don't think about the fad fading away. If it's a name make it family or in memory of someone. Wives friends anybody other than blood can change. Mine are things that won't change about me...there is a meaning to mine. The script is Latin so very few can read it...cause it has meaning to me! The symbols are birth sign or it reminds me of parts of my past to recall change/growth. Tats are like a book, the best ones have a story to them even if your only one that can read it.
