The fertilizer is a decent deal at $16.00 The Stonewall (Prodiamine) is the what to load up on. You will not find a deal anywhere close to that price.

My local Lowes was a bit more expensive, but they did give me my 10% military discount.

Took over my neighbor's lawn. She can't handle doing it herself. She hired tru green for 2yrs and go no results. So I asked her if she would mind if I took over. I will kill the weeds and fertilize at no charge. She will have her mowing crew do the mow still handle that part. I am only doing the front yard which is about 2500sq feet. She has dallis, KR Bluestem, dollar weed and whatever else you can think of. Mostly bermuda with a little St. Aug mixed in as the main turf. Goal is to use herbicides that do not take an applicators license and residential lawn approved. So I am not using msma which would be an easier way out. Going to use the best(cheapest) fertilizer I can find. Which is Walmart Texas Turf 15-5-10 for about $15 a bag.

Started it May 21st. This is what it looked like. I applied 1lb of actually Nitrogen per 1000sq feet via the TX Turf to get the Bermuda and St Aug as healthy as I could before applying herbicides.






Two weeks later June 3rd I applied herbicides. This is 3 days after application. You can see the Bluestem and Dallis turning purple.



This is yesterday June 13th, Pretty much looks like I hoped it would. Herbicides are really doing work. Going to need another application around July 1st for a clean up. I think a few weeks after that app I should have the weeds under control and will focus on pushing fert to get the bermuda or St Aug to fill in. Waiting for the weeds to die off good so I can see how much of each is there before I decide which turf type I will cater to.

74 days in. Almost completely weed free. Couple spots of Dallis I need to brush with Gly. Starting to see the bermuda run and fill in. Fertilized it last night with 3/4lb of Nitrogen using Lesco 20-5-10 that's on clearance at Lowes. Going to hit it with another 3/4 on Labor Day and early October.

Pretty good results considering extreme heat and drought conditions.

She has irrigation but she's been out of town a lot this summer so I haven't been able to check each zone and each head like I want to. Put some rain gauges out last night and getting down what I want, just need to add a extra day during the week. I should be able to get some good fill in the next 45-60 days. Going to hit it with some additional sprays of a 18-18-18.

Did you get your spurge sprayed with the MSM? I did mine last Friday and it's starting to crisp up pretty nicely today.

I sprayed some in my back yard 2 days ago. I wanted to see how the heat effected the bermuda in the back before spraying anymore. I also didn`t realize the Prodiamine had no effect on the spurge. Will be nice to stay on top of it next year when it starts popping up.

Finally got tired of my Chapin sprayer that I bought last year not performing like it did when it was new. Called Chapin and sent it back to them yesterday on their dime. It would not build enough pressure to shut off like it did when new, pumping 1 gallon in 4 minutes instead of 1 minute 50 seconds when new. Pump shutting off after pumping 1-2 gallons. Remove the battery and charge for 10 minutes and back to pumping with full charge (WTF). The pump would act like it was a 2-stage pump ever so often and spray more for a few seconds then change back all on its own. I took great care after each use and cleaned it out really good. I would have bought a different brand last year, but all most all brands were out of stock due to COVID supply chain issues. Not gonna be happy if they have some kind of BS excuse not to replace it. It lasted for about 25 tanks @ 4 gallons each = 100.

Looks to be at least a 3 week turn around, so I won`t be spraying my fall pre-emergent this year. I think I still have enough Barricade to use though.
